We are the winners!

Sven played the Swedish Viking Golf on Monday and as he is playing excellent golf now he did win - and came home not only with the honour but also two bottles of wine!

Yesterday we played bridge for the first time this autumn with the Swedish bridge team and we did win - and we came home with another two bottles of wine!

Unfortunately I forgot the camera.......

Opera Festival in Paphos´harbour

We were 19 people from our Swedish golf and bridge team that enjoyed a lovely meal together in the harbour before we enjoyed "Othello" - performed in the castle of Paphos. It was breathtaking sitting outdoors in the warm summer night listening to the very skilled singers.

Especially exiting was that Othello takes place in Cyprus and also that Jago was sang by Constantinos Yiannoudes - a singer from Cyprus born in Limassol!

Back in the Island in the sun

We arrived safely in Larnaca Monday late afternoon and our friends Sue and Steve were there waiting for us. We did appreciate that! But we arrived without any luggage - and they were very suprised when we showed up with one handbag and one tiny suitcase after having spent three month is Sweden..... The flight was delayed from Copenhagen and we did RUN through all the controls - people shouting at us - and arrived at the gate one minute before departure - and of course - although that the stewardess told us that the luggage was on the plane - we did not believe her. Having no luggage to unpack, cloths to wash we went out to a local taverna and had a perfect night with Sue and Steve and their friends in the beautiful and warm night in Kallipeia. Yesterday evening the luggage arrived by taxi - so we are pleased about that!

Playing biljard

Sunday evening we once again had a fantastic evening with friends we have known since 1982.... After the delicious dinner we played biljard, drinking GT and laughing. We had to wake up at five o´clock Monday morning to take the train to Copenhagen - but still we had so much fun that we did stay too long. But it was worth it!

Visiting my cousin

Before we left Sweden we also visited dear friends in Lund with surroundings. Saturday we were invited to my cousin Ingvar and his Britt-Mari, living in one of the houses at Ellinge castle. We had a teriffic Saturday evening and Sunday morning! We were really spoilt with fantastic food and unceasable chats! 

Grandchildren

Back in Lund before our departure to Paphos we "moved in" to Mark and Hanna-Fia and Grandfather Sven read books for the very concentrated Grandchildren Tuva-Li and Wilhelm.

Meeting our teacher

My class mate Nils - since many, many years living in Californa - we meet every year in the summer when both he and I are back to our "roots" and this year we also met our teacher Paul Bohman who took care of us for four years - 1962 until 1966 when we graduated. He is 93 years old and still cristal clear. We had lovely hours with him remembering "those old good days".
